Here are a few notes on how to use the Forum Software. Please bear with us because we are also getting acquainted with it and don't know everything. However it is pretty easy to use if you spend a few minutes playing with it.
TheForum is divided into several main areas (Main Forums if you like) - these are the main headings you see when you first come into the Forum. Within these main forums may be posted sub-Forums - hence the Main Forum 'Phuket Golf Courses' has sub-forumsfor the various ccourses - Phuket Country Club, Loch Palm etc. Under these sub-forums you can post topics relevant to that sub-forum. Once someone - yes even you - has created a topic within a Forum or Sub-Forum then others can post their comments on your topic.
So basically you can view whatever you like, you can create a TOPIC within a Forum or Sub-Forum and you can comment on a Topic someone else has created. Note that some Forums will not let you create a new topic for organisational reasons - for instance you cannot create a new topic under tPhuket Golf Courses because you have to go to the sub-forum relating to the course you wish to comment on (otherwise the whole layout gets too messy).
Before you do any posting at all you have to register with the Forum - Registration is Easy. From the main page just enter a username and password for access to the Forum. You will be authorised then to post messages and create topics. Your username can be anything you like and will be the name used as the author of any Topics or posts that you make. Once you ahve registered:
TO POST A NEW TOPIC simply go to the relevant FORUM and click the NEW TOPIC button, create a meaningful description and then type whatever you want to say.
TO POST A COMMENT ON SOMEONE ELSE'S TOPIC then click on the topic and then click the POST REPLY button.
This keeps everything organised. If you think there should be a NEW TOPIC on the main screen or within a locked Forum then please leave a suggestion in the Suggestions Forum.
If you want to return to the main page just click the "Board Index" link in the top left corner of the page.
We are working hard to bring you added benefits and the Committee hope that you enjoy
